Fall Protection Panels are required where there is a danger of personnel falling onto fragile roof surfaces, usually adjacent to existing or proposed walkway. Evowalk fall protection panels are constructed in wider sections to spread any possible fall load over any fragile roof surfaces.
We can supply these in any colour and advise that part of the design includes a contrasting colour (usually red) to show a demarcation line from any actual walkway sections.

What are EVOwalk Fall Protection Panels and why are they needed?
EVOwalk Fall Protection Panels are designed to protect personnel from falling through fragile roof surfaces, especially around rooflights. They distribute fall loads over a wider area to prevent impact on weak roofing materials, ensuring safe access for maintenance teams.
How can Fall Protection Panels be installed?
The panels can be either loose laid or mechanically fixed to the roof sheets on both sides of rooflights using our EV fixing brackets. They can also be installed alongside walkway panels to create a unified safety and access system on the roof.
Do the panels meet safety standards and can they be customised?
Yes. All EVOwalk systems comply with BS 7976 for slip resistance, BS 476 for fire resistance, and ACR(M)001:2011 for roof assembly fragility standards. Panels can be supplied in any colour, with contrasting colours—often red—recommended to provide a clear demarcation from walkway sections.
