The 8 Leg version of the Mobile Man Anchor is only required on steel or PVC membrane roofs. At 340kg it’s extra weight prevents any possible movement of the anchor on the smoother surfaces of these roof surfaces.
The components are exactly the same as our 6 leg product, with the addition of 2 extra steel weights, 2 extra rubber weights and an 8 leg central anchor point. . The steel weights have 5mm rubber protection pads fitted, this prevents any possible damage to susceptible roof surfaces and provides better grip on all surfaces.
Again, it’s a simple operation to assemble or strip down when it’s needed in a new location.

What is the 8 Leg Mobile Man Anchor used for?
The 8 Leg Mobile Man Anchor can work on all roof types but is specifically designed for work on steel or PVC membrane roofs. Its total weight of 340kg provides the stability needed on smooth, low friction roof surfaces during short term maintenance tasks.
How does the 8 Leg version differ from the 6 Leg model?
The 8 Leg version uses the same components as the 6 Leg anchor but includes two extra steel weights, two extra rubber weights, and an 8 leg central anchor point. This additional weight is so the 8 leg can be used on steel or PVC the 6 leg can't.
How is the 8 Leg Mobile Man Anchor assembled?
Assembly is simple. The central anchor point is positioned first, followed by stacking the steel and rubber weights. Each steel weight includes a 5mm rubber protection pad to help prevent any risk of roof damage. All components require to be check before each use, separate parts / components can be purchased.
Can the 8 Leg Mobile Man Anchor be moved between locations?
Yes. The system can be stripped down and reassembled within minutes, allowing it to be relocated quickly and safely when required.
What safety rules apply when using the 8 Leg Mobile Man Anchor?
Only one person may be connected at any one time, with a maximum user weight of 100kg. The anchor must be positioned at least 2.5m from the roof edge and used only on clean, dry surfaces.
